Actually I had a parrot and I called him pumpkin, he love eating pumpkin or pumpkin seeds that’s why I call him pumpkin and he really likes this name, I know it’s a unique name.
We know that pumpkin season is here; pumpkins are literally everywhere peoples uses them for baking, cooking for Halloween decoration but today we are not going to use pumpkin for any of that, but we are going to putting it on our skin, pumpkins benefits our skin in many different ways.
So before start talking about its beauty uses, we should know how to make a pumpkin pure which helps you to make many face masks and hair masks.
How to make pumpkin puree:
Make sure the pumpkin pure is fresh and start from the fresh pumpkin.
- So grab a pumpkin, cut off the end and slice it in half, we don’t need any seeds, so take it out but make sure to save your seeds, as I save them for my parrots but save them because those are really yummy and super healthy.
- Once it all clean out, slice them, you can bake them or you can boil them for 45 minutes until it tender.
- After that peel off the skin and place them in blender or food processor, whatever you have in the home, blend them and that’s it you done.
19 Beauty uses of pumpkin for skin care
1. Pumpkin Face Mask
Mix some pumpkin puree with honey and relax for 20 minutes, after that wash it off after that you will get a soft, smoother, brighter, firmer and fresh skin.
You can also make a mask by adding one tablespoon of pumpkin puree with one teaspoon of raw honey and one teaspoon apple cider vinegar. These ingredients really help you gives your skin a brighter look. Mix all the ingredients together, apply it all over your face, and then let your face soak all the benefits for around 25 to 30 minutes, after massage your skin and rinse it off.
2. Pumpkin for Acne
Why is pumpkin really good for acne? Because it high in Vitamin A, C, and zinc. Vitamin A exfoliates the outer layer of your skin, according to the doctors pumpkin mask have the important vitamins which help to reduce acne.
So apply a fresh puree of pumpkin on pimples or acne for about 30 minutes, and then wash off your skin.
3. Pumpkin Body Mask
Due to a large number of vitamins and minerals which makes it a perfect body mask, it doesn’t makes your body soft and smooth but also gives a nice glow to the dull looking skin.
For making a body mask you need, 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree and one tablespoon of olive oil. Mix them together, apply it on your body and leave it for around 10 to 15 minutes, then wash it off.
4. Soothe Your skin with Pumpkin
Did you know that pumpkin is a great source of zinc; it also has anti-inflammatory properties which help to calm or soothe irritated skin? So try to consume more pumpkin and most important its seeds.
Mix chilled pumpkin puree with milk, mix them together and apply it on affected areas for 5 to 10 minutes then wash it off.
5. Control oil Production with Pumpkin
Pumpkins help to control oil production on your face. If you want to get rid of oily skin use this face mask, mix pumpkin puree with apple cider vinegar and sugar, mix them all properly. Scrub your skin with this mixture and then leave it on for 10 minutes after that wash it off.
6. Pumpkin for Chapped lips
In my chapped lips post, I share that I used a lip balm which consists Vitamin E, as vitamin E is really very beneficial vitamin to cure chapped lips.
For getting rid of chapped lips overnight just apply a thick layer of pumpkin puree or pumpkin seed oil, your lips instantly look soft and smooth.
7. Pumpkin for Dark circles
A pumpkin has a high volume of Vitamin A and we all know that Vitamin A is really important for eye health. Try to consume a cup of pumpkin every day because it not only good for dark circles, puffy bags but it also helps to improve your eyesight.
For getting rid of dark circles, apply chilled puree of pumpkin on your eyes for 10 minutes, then wash it off.
8. Pumpkin for Hyperpigmentation, Acne scar, and dark spots
The vitamin C and E which are present in pumpkin they are a powerful antioxidant which helps to stimulate the production of collagen and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, Acne scar, and dark spots.
For getting rid of all these things mix pumpkin puree with, apple cider vinegar and honey, mix them all and apply on affected areas for 30 minutes, then wash it off.
You can also mix pumpkin puree with sandalwood powder and make a paste, apply on your skin for 20 minutes and wash it off.
9. Pumpkin for Wrinkles
The antioxidants which also fight free radicals and Vitamin A which presents in pumpkin help to reduce wrinkles and makes them less appear.
Mix pumpkin puree with pineapple juice, mix them properly, apply it on your skin for 10 minutes, then wash it off.
10. Pumpkin Hair Mask
If your hair is dry and damaged than pumpkin which helps to give them enough moisture, also it helps to promote hair growth so it will help you to make your hair longer and also it helps to get rid of split ends, as pumpkin is also really very good to cleanse your scalp as it good for overall health of your hairs. Amino acids which present in pumpkin add a natural shine to your dull and lifeless hairs.
For making a hair mask you need, 2 tablespoons of pumpkin, 2 tablespoons of yogurt, 1 teaspoon olive oil, one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar(optional, but if you add it then you will get extra nourishment). Mix them all, apply it to your hairs and scalp, leave it for 20 minutes then rinse it off.
11. Pumpkin for Cellulite
Did you know that pumpkin helps to reduce cellulite like coffee grounds? Yes, you heard pumpkin help to get rid of cellulite so for that I share of my favorite scrub with you.
Mix some pumpkin puree with sugar and mash bananas, mix them all, now gently scrub the cellulite area with this scrub in circular motions, after 5 to 10 minutes let it stay for more 15 minutes then wash it off.
12. Natural Moisturizer
Did you know that many famous brands used pumpkin seed butter in their moisturizers and lotions? Because it heals all type of skin whether it dry or super dry no matter which type of your skin is, it instantly makes your skin super soft and smooth.
Just apply pumpkin puree to your skin, after 10 minutes wash it off. You can also apply pumpkin seed oil to your skin it acts like a natural moisturizer and no need to wash it as it quickly absorbs in your skin.
13. Pumpkin for Dry skin

For making this scrub you need equal parts of pumpkin puree and sugar, mix them together, after that gently scrub your skin with this mixture for 5 minutes then rinse it off.
16. Clear Bright Skin
This amazing fruit helps all skin type, the enzymes, and vitamins which present on it helps you to enhance your skin complexion. Vitamin A and C help to hydrate your skin and give you a clear and bright looking skin.
For getting clear skin you need 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, one tablespoon of yoghurt, one teaspoon honey, one tablespoon of almond paste, half teaspoon olive oil, mix them together, now apply it on your skin gently and rub it for around one minutes than leave it for 20 minutes after that wash it off.
17. Pumpkin for Sagging skin
Mix two tablespoons of pumpkin puree with one egg, mix them together and apply on your skin for 30 minutes after that wash it off, it will not only help to give a proper nourishment to your skin but also help you to get rid of sagging skin.
18. Anti-aging and unwanted facial hair face pack
