Your skin may be a protective shell, or maybe for you it’s the clue that defines your age; whatever your idea may be, one fact cannot be ignored – skin is the most sensitive yet pivotal organ of the human body. This simply means that you should pay special attention towards the skin care; although your attention should be proper all the time, but summer season asks for more skin care attitude. The major reason is the intense sun rays, which are commonly referred to as ultraviolet rays; when they are exposed to the skin they can create serious catastrophe. Later these rays can cause pre-mature aging of the skin. If you analyze the situation one step further, you would get to know that causes of dryness, age spots and wrinkles are also due to exposure of these harmful rays.

How can you prevent yourself from these troubles and hassles? You need to block the interaction of the harmful rays with the skin when out during hot summers; here comes the role of sun shields- this basically means all those products which help you avoid the sun’s dangerous rays.
It is the most reliable and recommended solution to protect the skin from the sun. You can simply apply the sunscreen and roam around during the hot summers without any fear of sunburn or other skin diseases. These days’ sunscreens can be obtained in the form of lotions, wax sticks, absorbing gels, creams and sprays as well. In fact, many branded sunscreens have a shimmery effect too – that’s provides pretty much appealing effect.
A piece of advice: always prefer getting the sunscreens which have higher concentrations of SPF; but make sure you are familiar with the brand and its quality. Make sure you apply the sunscreen on your skin 20 minutes before leaving your place. Also, make sure your sunscreen is resistant to water; this would help you while you are sweating.
- increase your water intake:
Water would help your skin retain the moisture – this is very essential. You need to take at least 10 glasses of water or juices so that your body remains fresh the entire day. This would help you retain the water which gets out of the body while sweating. Make sure you consume seasonal fruits and their juices as it’s healthy.
- Avoid heavy and oily food:
You might not fond of eating lots of heavy products like cheeseburgers, fries and pizza’s etc. – avoid eating them especially during summers. I am not asking you to refrain from eating it completely, but you can always cut on it. When you take oily stuff, you increase the amount of body heat and this leads to acne, oily skin and other issues. The sun rays are damaging enough and if you consume such products than you would do worst to your skin.
- Wash on your face regularly;
Make sure you wash your face thrice a day – it is not necessary to use a face wash every time, you can simply wash your face with cold water. Also, you can use a skin toner to wipe off dirt.
These were very simple and general sort of tips that may help you protect your skin from the sun during the hot summers. Other than these, you can go for deep cleansing twice a month; also, apply homemade masks so that you can see positive changes in your skin. You can use cucumber paste, tomato juice, lemon juice and potato peels for brighten the skin’s appeal. Be regular with your efforts because only consistency would bring drastic changes.
