Actually, today when I am drinking my green tea I thought why I don’t write a post about them that’s why I start starting actually green tea is one of my favorite green in the entire world. By drinking green tea, it’s not only good for inside health but it’s also used in health and beauty remedies too.
If you are one of them who throw their used green tea bag than think again, don’t waste it or throw them in dustbin you can use it in many beauty purposes like it will give you a smooth and soft skin, buff away dead skin cells, brighten up your skin and unclog your pores.
13 Green Tea Benefits for Skin and Hair
1. Face Mask
Why don’t you buy any mask? If you easily made them at home with just green tea, as green tea is packed with antioxidants that help repair damage cells and fights free radicals making it very effective for skin.
For making face mask just take 2 tablespoons of full-fat yogurt and one tablespoon used green tea leaves, mix them properly and apply this mask for 20 minutes then rinse off.
2. Acne scar and dark spots
It’s really being annoying to have acne scars or dark spots if you wish to have clear skin. But green tea can really help to fade your acne scars and dark spots.
For getting rid of acne scars you need 2 tablespoons of crush or a paste of green tea leaves from used bag, now add some rice flour, rice flour is really great to brighten your skin tone and fading acne scars, mix them properly you will notice you got a creamy scrub.
Apply this on your face, gently rub this mixture for five minutes, and then leave it for around 20 minutes then rinse it off.
3. Eye Mask
Drink tea is also used as an eye mask, in my previous post about how to get rid of bags under eyes I write in detail that how green tea helps to get rid of puffy eyes, dark circles and bags under eyes.
Just put to used green tea bags in the freezer for overnight, then used them under your eyes, it’s a really great eye mask, green tea has some caffeine in it that’s why it construct the blood vessels and gives you a very relaxing soothing effect.
4. Hair Rinse
The antioxidants which present in green tea stimulate your hair follicles, Vitamin E which is also present in green tea help to condition and moisturize your hairs.
For hair rinse boil water, remove from heat and add one tea bag for one cup of water, let it cool down then apply it on wet or damp hair, let it sit for 20 minutes after that wash it out.
5. Facial Mist
This homemade facial mist is very easy to make and it smells great. When you apply it on your face it prevents acne, enhance your skin complexion, it’s really relaxing and the caffeine which presents in green tea energize your face.
For making homemade facial mist pour some green tea in a spray bottle, after that put that spray bottle in fridge and use whenever you want.
6. Facial Toner
Green tea has a powerful antioxidant which slows down the aging process and also prevents acne. It’s also be used as a natural toner to remove impurities and unclog your pores.
For making facial toner just fill a bottle with green tea and that’s it, it’s ready to use.
7. Natural Cleanser
Green tea is natural cleansers which help to remove dead skin cells and also exfoliate your skin. Just crush some green tea leaves and use them as a cleanser.
You can also mix green tea with your favorite cleanser and you will get a cleansing scrub.
8. Facial Steam
You can use green tea as a facial steam, you have to boil some water and put some green tea bag or leaves in boiling water, let it boil you can also add some aromatherapy oils or essentials oils especially when you are sick or if you have a sore throat, it feels really good. Let stop boiling when steam comes out place a towel over your head and let the steam go through.
Make sure the water is not too hot, it also be really good to open up your clogged pores and flush out all the bad stuff had in your skin that clogged your pores, Steam for around 5 minutes.
9. Bath Soak
You can also use green tea bags as a bath soak. Doesn’t only green tea refresh your skin but come down your tired muscles after a long working day.
For making this bath soak fill your bath tub with water and pour some green tea bags in it. It gives a feeling of Spa and also it brighten up your skin.
10. Face Scrub
After making a face mask with green tea now it’s time to make some face scrub, trust me it’s all natural and really good for sensitive skin.
For making a face scrub you need one used a green tea bag, cut it and pour the content into your clean bowl, crush them slightly now add one tablespoon of honey, mix them properly until you get a thick paste, now use it as a face scrub and rinse.
11. Nail treatment
To remove yellow stains from your nails we have to use some green tea, it also strengthens your nails and makes them more shine.
Just dip your nails in warm green tea water for 5 to 10 minutes, after that use a cotton ball on your nails.
12. Sooth Burnt Skin
Green tea also helps to the soothe burnt skin or it help to soothe sunburns as well. For that just take a green tea water and put them in the fridge, when it’s cool just take it out and dip a cloth into green tea and place it on the burnt skin.
13. Body Scrub
Exfoliation is really very important because it puff away the dead skin cells which clogging your pores or which makes your skin dry and dark.
Just mix green tea with rice flour, honey and use it as a body scrub. Gently scrub your dry and dull areas with this scrub for 5 minutes, relax for more 10 minutes after that wash it off.
