I love a good beautiful skin, and I never fail to appreciate it on someone and ask their secrets for the same. Almost half of these ‘beautiful skinned’ women always give credit to their genetics (oh, how that bothers me!). Many have all the time and money on Earth to spend at high-end salons. But several attribute it to hard work, such as home made masks and juices. And over the years, I’ve gathered so many juice recipes that now I finally thought of sharing them with you all. They are not that complicated to prepare and the end result is brilliant, then why not! So these holidays, spend more of your time juicing yourself a nice glass of some of this magic potion to emerge with a healthy, beautiful, glowing skin!
I know, it’s a very conventional drink, but it deserves a mention. Originally from China, this drink has become quite popular around the globe for various benefits, including its part in achieving a healthy glow on skin. Green tea is full of anti-oxidants, and these anti-oxidants prevent the free radicals in skin from damaging the skin thus preventing pigmentation and wrinkles and slowing the ageing process, hence keeping the skin youthful and glowing.
Recommended: about two to three cups a day.
Lemon and honey tea:
Lemon cleanses the skin from within and lightens scars and pigmentation while firming the skin, owing to the abundance of Vitamin C in it. On the other hand, honey, helps skin retain its moisture and remain hydrated, preventing dryness that can lead to wrinkles. A lukewarm glass of water with a freshly squeezed lemon and a spoonful of honey is the easiest way to promote beautiful, radiant skin. And the fact that it also aids in weight loss is an added bonus! Yay!
Recommended: 1 glass of lemon honey tea first thing in the morning.
Full of vitamins, minerals and also anti-oxidants, apples, and/or it’s juice, maintain the texture and evenness of skin tone. Collectively, these contribute towards a glowing skin. Also, it fights pre-mature aging of skin and delays the onset of several signs such as blotchy patches, dark spots, wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation. This one truly is a magic potion; it keeps you looking younger for long!! Simply run 2 apples through your juicer and voila!
Recommended: 1 glass fresh apple juice once daily.

Carrot juice not only increases skin’s resistance against sun damage, but also helps in healing sunburns. And it doesn’t just stop there- it boosts collagen production which is largely responsible for skin elasticity and plumpness.!
I think carrot juice is slowly becoming my favourite!
Recommended: 1 glass of fresh carrot juice, alone or combined with apple.
Belonging to the citrus family, oranges are bursting with vitamin C, potassium and folic acid. Vitamin C is the key ingredient in the production of collagen, thereby oranges are famous for their role in keeping skin firm and plump. Also, when a regular part of your diet, eating oranges or drinking it’s juice can give your skin that beautiful, radiant glow.
Recommended: 1 to 2 glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice, alone or with grapefruit juice.
This beautiful bright red fruit with jewel-toned seeds is the richest among fruits when talking about anti-oxidants; about three times that of green tea and orange juice. Not only those, but it also has vitamins A, C and E along with several minerals, hence being called a ‘super fruit’. A diet high in pomegranate reduces wrinkles and fine lines and helps the regeneration of cells, thereby slowing aging process and keeping the skin plump and youthful. Moreover, it acts as a catalyst in healing wounds, heals old and new scars and helps lighten the skin, keeping it even toned and glowy. Being suitable for all skin types, this alone, can provide much, and aid in achieving and maintaining silky soft, glowing, radiant skin.
Recommended: a 200 ml glass of home made unprocessed pomegranate juice; avoid the store bought carton as it loses all the usefulness and advantages.
This concoction of everything green is a flavorsome drink that provides instant hydration and helps in lymphatic drainage of the skin, leaving it revitalized, firm and radiant. Run a green apple, a handful of kale, a handful of parsley, a handful of romaine lettuce, half a cucumber, 3 stalks of celery and an inch of ginger through the juicer and then squeeze half a lemon into the glass of juice.

Bloody red juice:
This blood colored drink is perfect for an evening drink with friends, or as a margarita too! A blend of half a beetroot, a sweet carrot and half a pineapple results in a glass of bloody red juice that is loaded with vitamins and minerals which aid in reducing any blemishes and preventing inflammation within the skin that leads to flawless, radiant and firm skin that always looks younger no matter what the age.
Recommended: a glass of bloody red juice best enjoyed when with company in the evenings.
