Don’t we all love flawless, soft and velvety skin? Some of us are naturally blessed while the unfortunate ones like myself have to work hard for skin to be at its best. And while most of us have the money to throw for expensive spa facials and treatments, some of us, again like yours truly, cannot go about breaking the bank. Why to spend a fortune to have chemically altered stuff give you better skin when you can achieve the same thing at home, with naturally occurring ingredients and with no expense whatsoever!
So here we are, for the latter of us beautiful women, I’ve compiled six tried and tested, homemade face packs that work and with regular use, can give you that younger looking, flawless silky skin.!
Face pack #1 For Pigmentation
Mix together lemon juice and honey to make a mask like consistency. Apply to face and let sit for twenty minutes. Wash off and pat dry. The lemon is a natural bleaching element and will lighten up the pigmentation, noticeable after once weekly for 4 weeks. Avoid going into the sun after this mask for at least 2 hours.
Face pack #2 For the Glow
Make a paste of a little turmeric powder, an amount of chickpea flour, some lemon juice drops, and either milk or rosewater. Apply to face and let sit until it dries up. With wet hands, start massaging the pack outwards and upwards. Wash off.
Face pack #3 For Natural Skin Lightening
Sundry orange peels till they turn crispy, then grind them to powder form. Add 1 tablespoon of powdered orange peel to 1 tablespoon of fresh, unflavored yogurt to make a paste. This is to be applied to cleansed skin and left to dry for twenty minutes and then rinsed. With regular use of once weekly, for at least 4 weeks, will start showing results.
Face pack #4 For Hydrated, Flawless Skin
Mix together in a bowl, 4 teaspoons of yogurt and a single teaspoon of honey. Place the mixture in the fridge for half hour. Apply on face and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with moisturizer. Yogurt is powerful, in that, the nutrients in yogurt, help fight off existing and future acne, and heals the skin, revitalizing it. The honey is packed with moisturizing properties. This mask is an all rounder and can be done once a week for normal/combination skin, and more frequent by people with oily skin. I would suggest people with dry skin to indulge in this one maybe once a month as it controls and decreases oil production.
Face pack #5 For the Aging Skin
Whisk an egg white, add to it 2 tablespoons of yogurt and mix well. Apply to skin using an old, but clean foundation brush. Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. The egg white has been known to tighten the skin, thereby eradicating wrinkles and fine lines.
Face pack #6 For the Dry Skin
Warm up a tablespoon of coconut oil in your hands and add 3 drops of honey. Massage into skin using circular motions. Apply a warm damp cloth to face and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with plain water and see instant moisturizing results, specifically for dry skin!
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m about to go use some yogurt on my skin just now! En route to beautiful skin!
